Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was an exceptional child. But for a person with Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and family members, those were not innate traits. Maureen moved into this loving home on the 17th of August 20th in Ranelagh. Marguerita L. FitzSimons made a name for herself with her contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also controlled a portion of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons placed second from a group of 6 FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara rounded off this stunning group. Maureen did well in sports and loved rough games. This interest was combined with the natural ability to perform. This is why she was awarded almost all of the Feis Awards for her dramatic and acting performances in her home country. The Abbey Theater was her first choice. Abbey Theater by age 14 as she continued to pursue her dream of opera and classical singing and theater.
